Vomit and Starters

The OCC takes pride in searching out the finest Indian Restaurants, and providing an impartial review of Curry Houses all over the world. Members vote anonymously on 5 categories - and an average score is given to each restaurant we review.
This review is written I written whilst sitting on the toilet as a result of a particularly strong chilli. One so strong I can not stop pooping and vomiting.
On Friday the 13th of April the committed members of the Oakham Curry Club were gathered for a great meeting at Jashan celebrating Indian Cuisine in Hong Kong Central.
The Jashan restaurant was very good, not only because every dish was enjoyable, but also because we had a huge variety of options. The meals were perfectly served by our waiter, who is also the owner of the restaurant; the whole staff did an absolutely amazing job.
The food was brilliant, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the crispy poppadoms.
Our table was placed in a nice and open area, which was a good place to relax and meet friends. I was expecting the food here to follow in the old Indian tradition but was pleased to find the menus trending in a contemporary direction with emphasis on lean, fresh and organic fare, while still keeping in touch with the Indian values.
I would like to say that the staff were always accommodating and helpful when needed. We all had a fantastic time and liked that we could order special food and the chef would make it so we could eat it. Thank you also for having the special gluten free items.
I'd imagine there's a bit more traffic in the restaurant once this review has gone global, but either way, we'll definitely be back! The one down side was the final bill, which was on the expensive side of things in Hong Kong. During the night we of course had a lot of beer. This may have been a factor with this.
The visit ended just before midnight, when everybody were full and happy.
